The Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre Lothian is a locally-based, grassroots charity that has been providing support for people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) across the Lothians, the Borders and south Fife since 1984. We offer self-management support through a co-ordinated, holistic and person–centred approach, assisting people living with MS to manage, and make informed decisions about their lives.
Our therapies include: physiotherapy, oxygen therapy (formerly known as hyperbaric oxygen therapy), yoga, Pilates, reflexology, massage, aromatherapy and other complementary services. The self-management options available at the Centre are complemented by input from our professional staff team who can provide informed advice on the benefits of each of the therapies on offer.
We also offer the benefits of Oxygen Therapy (here in Leith) to people living with a range of long-term health conditions. These include: Fibromyalgia , Diabetic ulcers, Lyme disease, Pancreatitis, Injury/wounds -speeds healing, reduces scar and infection, Rheumatoid arthritis (acute), Scleroderma, Peptic ulcer, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Crohn's disease, Ulcerative colitis, Parkinson's Syndrome, Autism, Stroke.
There is evidence to suggest that Oxygen Therapy can help in alleviating some of the associated symptoms.
We are currently recruiting new volunteers
We are members of The MS Society and a member of MS National Therapy Centres.
